In a recent interview, Gibson revealed that the contents of the mysterious text message sent to Hotch in season 9, and its sender, will be revealed in season 10 of the CBS series.

The actor told E!Online that fans will get the details on that bit from the last season. "You'll find out what it says and it's important," he said. This is not exactly news, but more of an affirmation.

In May, the show's executive producer Erica Messer  spoke about the text Hotch received in the finale of season 9. In the interview with TVGuide when asked if the message was from Blake (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Messer's response was leaning toward the affirmative.

"It was intended to be a text from her, but we won't know for sure until next season," she said.

The second and final part of the season 9 finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Season 10 will premiere on CBS on October 1.
