Having children is not something new for the stars of the Breaking Amish series, but for the first time, one cast member is going into the new experience fully disclosing all there is to know about her child.

Vonda Has A 'Huge' Secret?

Miriam, a 26-year-old Amish woman on the new season of the show, has an eight-year-old son named Aaron, who she became pregnant with just before her 18th birthday. Because Aaron's father is not only out of the picture, but was an English man, Miriam was shunned-and the communities decision may be prompting her to experience a fully immersed English life in Brooklyn, New York now.

In a preview of her story for the season, Miriam explained how being shunned has affected her, both in the community and within her own family.

Fans Not Eager To See New 'Breaking Amish' Cast?

"When you're shunned, you are completely cut off from the community. Everybody turned their back on me," she said. "They'd see me walking down the road and stuff...they wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that I was there. Everybody walks away from me because they know I'm shunned and they know that I'm an outsider."

"Being shunned took a toll on me and my family," she continued. "It tore us apart. I was not allowed to sit at the table and eat meals with my family. I couldn't interact with them."

And though most of the casts of the shows have later admitted to being English before appearing on the show, Miriam freely admits that she has been going back and forth between the English and Amish lifestyles ever since she was shunned, but she knows she needs to make a commitment now for the sake of her son-even though seeing what the world has to offer does mean she needs to leave him behind for the time being.

"Growing up Amish, there's not big dreams of going and seeing the world. You have limitations," she said. "The Men and women have set roles and you can't stray from those roles, but I want more for myself. I want more for my son. I want him to have the choices I never had. But doing that means I have to leave Aaron behind, and I'm not sure I can do that."

Breaking Amish season 3 premieres Thursday, September 18 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
