It looks like some intensity is about to take place for Thomas Barrow on Downton Abbey as he struggles with his sexuality.

Sandra Bullock Rumored To Join 'Downton Abbey?'

On Saturday, Daily Mail posted the information from actor Robert James-Collier who plays Thomas on the British drama. According to the site, Thomas will try to change his sexuality, which will result in some dire consequences.

"It's quite a harrowing storyline and I hope it is," the actor said. "Because if it isn't, I haven't done it justice."

It seems like the upcoming moments will be extremely powerful since James-Collier revealed that he's had some restless nights over it.

"There are mornings of those scenes when you haven't been able to sleep at night because you are so worried about how it will go," he said. "Thomas comes right up to the abyss."

This leads to a massive amount of questions on if Thomas will end up with a man, but not be accepting of it. Or perhaps others around him won't accept him, causing some horrible dispute.

As one character enters a world of drama, another will have her own issues with her husband. Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna on the series, recently told Vanity Fair that she and Mr. Bates will have some problems after the sexual assault as well as the possible murder of Mr. Green.

"Obviously they have a lot to overcome and it won't happen very quickly," the actress said. "And they may never get to the end. There's still this cloud hanging over them."

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in the United States in January 2015 on PBS.
