Lauren Conrad and William Tell are now husband and wife.

The fashion designer, who rose to fame on MTV's Laguna Beach and the spinoff The Hills, wed in a small ceremony along the coast of California on Saturday, Us Weekly reported.

"What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most," the couple said in a statement.

Conrad, 28, and her husband met in 2012 on a blind date on Valentine's Day set up by their friends. Tell, 34, proposed in October 2013 with a round-cut diamond.

"William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream," she told Cosmopolitan last year. "If you're going to settle down, it should be with someone you can't stop thinking about."

Although Conrad hasn't released any wedding photos yet, she gave a preview to her wedding style when she covered Martha Stewart Weddings' fall 2014 issue. Conrad appeared on the cover with some of her bridesmaids styled by her own Paper Crown Bridesmaids collection. The ladies, including longtime friend and Hills costar Lo Bosworth, all wore dresses from Conrad's line.

"I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors," she told the magazine about her bridal party. "I don't mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It's too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style."
