It's being touted as potentially one of the best new drama series of the fall TV season, and though Red Band Society will be focusing primarily on its teen cast, the adults are set to get their own fair share of juicy screen time as well.

'Red Band Society' Will 'Unfold Slowly' And Showcase A 'New' Kind Of Normal?

At a Paleyfest Fall TV Preview screening of the show's pilot episode, cast members Wilson Cruz and Rebecca Rittenhouse teased that despite dealing the angst of the teens and kids they're charged with watching over and caring for on the show, the adults will have their own issues and stories also brought to the forefront.

In fact, Rittenhouse teased, there will even be some potential romantic entanglements as well for her character, a newbie nurse at L.A.'s Ocean Park Hospital, as she might be "developing a crush" on someone at the hospital-and that someone could be the brilliant pediatric surgeon at the hospital, Dr. Jack McAndrew (Dave Annable).

However, the romance between the two could still have its own flare for the dramatic side, as another woman could enter the picture-Jack's ex-fiancee, and the Chief of Staff at the hospital, Erin Grace, who will be portrayed by Mandy Moore.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer turned actress-whose previous credits include roles on Entourage and Grey's Anatomy, as well as movie hits including A Walk To Remember, Moore's character could be a threat to Jack, as the ex-engaged couple are forced to work in the same hospital together-and could find themselves at the same end of a troubling lawsuit, as the PaleyFest panel also revealed that the doctor would be making a 'huge mistake' at the end of the show's second episode, which could result in a malpractice suit at the hospital.

However, the show, which will also have some moments of equally dark and light-hearted comedy, will also need to face a sobering reality for its teenaged charges, as the first thirteen episodes will take place over three weeks of "hospital time"-but the cast is fighting cancer and other diseases.

"Someone may die," Executive Producer Rina Mimoun said.

Red Band Society premieres Wednesday, September 17 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
