Production continues this week for the first episode of Penny Dreadful's second season on Showtime.

'Penny Dreadful' Gets 2 More Series Regulars For New Season 

Filming began last Thursday and while director James Hawes was certainly busy on set, he did take some time to share a few photos.

The director was careful not to reveal too much, however, withholding any and all images of the cast on set.

While Hawes often shares pictures with his posts, he didn't share any with this message, though it did confirm that perhaps a scene in the first episode will bring together Ethan Chandler (Hartnett), Vanessa Ives (Green), Sir Malcolm (Dalton), and Ferdinand Lyle (Beale).

Beale appeared briefly though memorably during Season 1 as an Egyptologist whom Sir Malcolm turns to regarding some mysterious text. He is also one of the program's new regulars for the upcoming episodes. The other new regular is Madam Kali (Helen McCrory), who was introduced to Sir Malcolm and Miss Ives through Ferdinand's dinner party, which turned ugly when Madame Kali's séance connected Miss Ives with the afterlife.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second, longer season in 2015.
