R&B newcomer August Alsina was in New York City to perform on his Testimony Live tour with fellow songstress, Teyana Taylor. Unfortunately, he collapsed during his performance and was rushed to the nearest hospital. There has been no update on how he is doing as of of today (Sept. 16), but before his performance he stopped by "The World's Most Dangerous Morning Show" to chat with the team.

UPDATE:  According to his bodyguard Big T, August is doing just fine.

Here's what we learned.

1. Even after making major strides in the music industry this year, August is still learning to celebrate the moment. His current tour with Teyana Taylor has been selling out and he was just added to Usher's new tour! 2014 has been amazing but he admits, he struggles to celebrate his accomplishments, but he's working on it.

2. He's not as rude as everyone thinks.  Alsina's reputation, especially after his 106 & Park interview with Keshia Chanté, has not had the most positive feedback. But, he says it's because no one knows what "really goes on behind the scenes," with producers, club promoters and more. Sidenote: He insists that BET was on his side because he was "played and bamboozled" because of them.

3. August is excited about picking Usher's brain. The New Orleans native was added to the 'The UR Experience Tour' in early September. Though he is excited about the exposure and the major venues like Madison Square Garden, he is more excited about learning from the "O.G." throughout the 27-city-tour.

4. He doesn't (and won't) dance onstage, but he does love to dance.   Charlamagne joked that August would be dancing by November because he is going on tour with Usher, but August said that people love Usher because he's good at what he does. Alsina is good at being himself, and on this tour, that's what he plans to do.

5. The conversation gets a little ummm, personal for a second. Just, yea... You'll have to watch.

6. He just turned 22 on Sept. 3! Happy Birthday, August. He said it was the "best birthday he's had."

7. You'll also have to watch his story about the girl who gave him underwear during one of his meet and greets, as well as Charlamagne's response.

8. Though they have never officially dated, Alsina's female fans have threatened Angela Yee's life because (according to Charlamagne and DJ Envy) they have obvious chemistry during their interviews. Talk about ride or die.

9. His fans also hilariously threatened singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter by saying, "Your name may be Sevyn, but you're going to be six-feet-under if I find out..." Well, you get the gist. Lesson learned: Ladies, watch your back.

10. He got his hat back at that infamous show, and we'll leave it at that.

11. He thinks, "Nicki is one of the most beautiful women," and admires her accomplishments in the music industry. He values her friendship and leans on her for advice, often.  Watch their new video, "No Love."

12. Young Jeezy and Chris Breezy are two of his closest confidants in the industry, though he and Brown are often told not to hang out together. Alsina insists that they actually "help each other."

13. August and Trey Songz are back on good terms, too.

14. No one will ever be able to "Kanye" him at an awards show.
