With the expansion of the story from the book to include a new character that could pose a new love interest for the heroine Tris, it may lead to a separation between her and Four with a more Hunger Games-like approach to the love story.

Could One Of The 'Insurgent' Stars See A Smaller Workload Moving Forward?

It has already been confirmed from Variety that Jonny Weston would be playing Edgar, a potential love interest for Tris (Shailene Woodley) in the sequel, and the actor would possibly be getting a larger role as the franchise moved along.

But could that mean the break-up of Tris and Four (Theo James)? Maybe. But not for long, it seems like the producers may be wanting to inject some sort of Hunger Games-like love story into the movie that they didn't see before, which is a big draw for audience members.

'Insurgent' Production Wraps In Atlanta, Cast Celebrates With Photos

With The Hunger Games, one of the big draws is the will they or won't they aspect between Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) or Gale (Liam Hemsworth), which has fans divided and debating up to the series' final moments. It would seem that the Divergent series producers are seeing this as one of the franchise's strongest points and want to bring that into their own series.

It would not mean the end of Tris and Four, but it could keep them apart in either Insurgent or the beginning of the first part of Allegiant if she begins to follow Edgar more than him.

Insurgent is set to open in theaters on March 20, 2015.
