With the X-Men films hitting a popularity high, it seems like the studio may go and try to take some risks with some properties, which could mean that one character will finally be getting his own movie. But could this be teased at the end of the next X-Men movie?

James McAvoy Set To Lose His Hair For 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theaters in 2016 with even more mutants joining the fray this time around, but could this include Deadpool? Most likely not, but the character could still appear on screen at some point during the movie.

It's rumored from Movie Pilot that X-Force or Deadpool could get teased during the end credits of Apocalypse with the more likely scenario that the latter would appear and set-up a standalone movie for either 2017 or 2018.

Could Dark Beast Be Apart Of Apocalypse's Team In The Next Movie?

Ryan Reynolds has reportedly been adamant about getting a Deadpool movie off the ground after the character received backlash for the representation in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but one thing holding it back is the R rating that would have to be tagged on it.

With test footage out with Reynolds in the role, it would be a risk for Fox to try and use the character in a standalone movie, but one that could pay off if it were done like the comic books and allowed for fans to see the brash character seen on the big screen.

It also could lead to the character showing up in future X-Men movies and bringing a comedic edge to the group of mutants.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
