In a recent interview, producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that fans will get to see a new kind of Arrow in season 3 of The CW series.

Brother Blood To Return In Season 3?

Guggenheim gave away this bit of information speaking to TVLine. The report shared that Oliver (Stephen Amell) will have "new toys" to play with in the next chapter.

"In the season premiere, you'll see a new kind of arrow," Guggenheim said. "And in Episode 5, there's another new kind of arrow we've never seen before. Season 3 is like a movie sequel, where he's got new gadgets to play with!"

Green Lantern To Feature In Season 3 Of Arrow?

Guggenheim has been hinting at a lot of newness in the next season of the show. Speaking to Comic Book Resources, earlier this month, Guggenheim suggested that the next chapter would bring out Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) identity crisis of sorts, as he shuttles between his alter ego as Arrow and his real life persona as Oliver.

"Who is he? Is he Oliver Queen is he the Arrow? Is he both? Can he be both?" said Guggenheim. "That's the log line. ... It's a different kind of torture. Like David [Ramsey] was saying, everything starts off really great."

He went on to talk about how Oliver will be happier in the next season but that even though things will look up for him, there will be different complications for him to deal with.

"As I was writing my scenes for the premiere, I was typing 'Oliver smiles' a whole lot more than I ever have in three years! Things are really good, but things get complicated and they get dark, but they're dark in a different way," he said. "I don't know if he's a brooding guy in season three, but he's definitely very, very focused. I think the season premiere is about many things, but one of the things it's about -- Oliver really regains his focus."

A new promo for the show highlighting Ray Palmer aka The Atom, played by Brandon Routh was also recently released.

Palmer will eventually end up owning Queen Consolidated and there will be a whole lot of friction between him and Queen. In the promo, Palmer is introduced as Oliver looks a bit flustered walking into the offices and seeing a confident and domineering Palmer in his conference room. "I parked on your roof, hope that's OK? ... You guys valet, right?" Palmer informs Ray with a smidge of attitude.

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW. Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
