While the next Avengers movie comes before Ant-Man, it seems like the latter could be a heavy influence on the former due to one character who will be appearing in a flashback and the other as a much older version. But could the villain Ultron connect the two movies?

'Ant-Man' Star Disses Comic Book Fans But Not One Marvel Movie

Marvel unveiled the Avengers 2 official synopsis earlier this week and one key part may have hinted that Ant-Man's Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) may have been an influence in the creation of Ultron with Tony Stark's father Howard.

According to the synopsis, when Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.

One 'Ant-Man' Character Is Ditching His Costume For The Movie

Cinema Blend speculated that instead of Tony making Ultron, it could mean that the robot is the brainchild of both Pym and Howard Stark, who are supposed to meet up in a flashback during Ant-Man.

They went on to say that It sounds like Tony Stark isn't going to create Ultron, so much as dust him off from the archives and create him anew in his own image. This right here could mean two separate possibilities for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron: it means that not only do we have a possible origin story for The Vision, we also have a possible tie to Ant-Man that could minorly tweak the origins of Ultron, but not so much as to say that Tony Stark created him on his own.

If previous statements made are correct, Hank Pym and Howard Stark may have created Ultron together.

This could be the big tie that Marvel wanted between Ant-Man and the rest of the universe that may have knocked Edgar Wright out and could be the tie between this movie and the first two phases of Marvel's plan.

Ant-Man is set to open in theaters on July 17, 2015.
