With the departure of the last film's cinematographer, Roger Deakins, it was going to be tough to fill the shoes of a legend. But it seems like director Sam Mendes will be bringing on an up-and-coming name that could lead to just as positive results for Bond 24.

'Skyfall' Breakout Star Headed For More Screentime In 'Bond 24?'

HitFix reported on Tuesday that Her and Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema would be taking over for Deakins as cinematographer for Bond 24. Deakins wasn't able to return after having scheduling conflicts with the Coen Brothers' Hail Caesar!, which will shoot at the same time.

Hoytema has been a rising star for awhile now with fantastic work turned in on Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and the original version of Let The Right One In making a name for him prior to work on last year's Her and this year's Interstellar, which will have him shooting on film and IMAX format for director Christopher Nolan.

'Bond 24' Star Date Confirmed With Full Cast Revealation Coming Soon?

Skyfall was shot by Deakins on digital, and was nominated for an Oscar, but HitFix is reporting that Hoytema will bring back film for the next installment. The cinematographer shot Her on digital, but has shown with the past in Tinker, Tailor and later with Interstellar that he can do both nearly flawlessly.

Bond 24 is returning Mendes in the directing chair with Neil Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan writing the script. Daniel Craig comes back as James Bond with Naoime Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinnear returning from the last movie.

Bond 24 is set to open in theaters on November 6, 2015.
