Jones was the first celebrity eliminated from Dancing With the Stars this season after a relatively disastrous Cha-Cha-Cha with partner Keo Motsepe in the premiere. The bobsledder was very discouraged with herself after the performance, telling the judges that she was "awful."

After being eliminated Tuesday night, Jones elaborated on her thoughts, telling her Facebook followers that she was tired of feeling "embarrassed" with herself.

"I joined the other competitors upstairs and I couldn't force a smile on my face. I felt like vomiting and in between the other dances I went in a back room and fought back tears. I felt so broken. So unlovable. Embarssed," she wrote.

Jones said that she wanted to stay on the show to show the viewing public "how hard I work. I wanted to come away a victor for once. I wanted to do so good performing in public that the haters would stop teasing me."

She clarified that this was her own way of thinking, not God's, adding that He had already conquered her desire to work hard and be liked by being "on the cross."

She ultimately concluded, "My time was brief but the lesson is lasting. Thank you everyone who wrote me kind messages. You were helping me not fall into darkness," adding Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

Now, the 12 celebrities who made it past the first week will continue through the competition. Jones will return with Motsepe for the finale, which will likely take place at the end of November.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
