The film isn't even available in the United States yet, but it looks like Jennifer Aniston is finally getting the A-list recognition she deserves. Rumor has it that the actress is sparking early Oscar nomination buzz with her role in the highly-anticipated film, Cake.

According to Deadline, Aniston and the film both received a standing ovation after the film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last week. Some critics are even calling it Aniston's best big screen performance to date.

The actress told the website after the screening that she was overwhelmed with the audience's positive response to the film.

She said, "It was such an emotional moment for me. I was nearly brought to tears."

Aniston added that she knew she wanted to be in the film the moment she finished reading the script, despite the fact that it was physically taxing on her body. The actress said that she had to go on multiple trips to the chiropractor and massages to help maintain "her sanity" while filming.

She noted, "I knew I was going to do it because it was a challenge but an opportunity to express empathy for the character and all those undergoing similar experiences."

Directed by Daniel Barnz and producer Ben Barnz, Cake, does not have a U.S. release date yet as the film is still looking for a distributor.
