Supernatural's Castiel is hanging around the angel crowd in Demon Dean's absence, and the dying soldier may find himself in a relationship with a member of heaven's host.

Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) is locked away, heaven is stable (for the moment), and Cas (Misha Collins) is heading back to earth to track down a wayward hunter. The rebel angel won't be traveling with Sam (Jared Padalecki), but he won't be alone, either. Hannah (Erica Carroll) will tag along through at least episode 3 (Soul Survivor), and the pairs' feelings will quickly heat up.

"Cas has this love of humanity; I don't think Hannah quite shares that, but she finds herself caring for Cas in a way that's not particularly angelic," teased executive producer Robert Singer in an iTunes season 10 preview.

As Hannah expresses more romantic interest in her fellow angel, the experience will inform Cas' storyline for quite some time.

"I think Cas and Hannah are going to find themselves more affected by humanity than ever, and this experience with Hannah is going to spin Cas off on an even more personal journey for the rest of the season," explained executive producer Jeremy Carver.
