In a recent interview, Michelle and Robert King, the creators of The Good Wife spoke about what fans can expect from the premiere of season 6.

Josh Charles Talks "Glorious Five Years" Of Working On The Good Wife

Speaking to E!Online, the Kings didn't give away big spoilers about the next season but did give a hint as to how the story will kickstart into the next phase. When asked what fans should knwo before the season 6 premiere on Sunday, the Kings spoke about the structure of the show.

"One thing they may want to know is the episode premiere of season six starts just seconds after season five ends, so we're not slowing down for even a moment," Michelle said. "We're barreling right ahead with our story."

Robert added that the next chapter will be more serialized.

"The other thing is this season will be more serialized than other seasons, so a little more what you might expect from cable," he said. "For example, even in the first episode, it doesn't have a case that resolves, you will see more of that."

After Will Gardner's (Josh Charles) sudden death in season 5, fans have been a bit on edge, not knowing what the show might throw at them. So when asked if they had any "warnings" that needed issuing before the premiere, the Kings had funny responses.

"Eat a nice dinner," Michelle suggested.

While Robert didn't have any warning so to speak, had a more elaborate answer, a bit of a guide map.

"I'm trying to think. No, I think shows tend to try to fill people in very quickly on where they are and what it's about," he said. "I think for new viewers, this is not a bad season to jump in on because I think right from the beginning you're quickly pulled into a story that is not a story that continues from last season. It's around three or four stories, two or three from last season and two new ones."

Season 6 of The Good Wife will air on Sunday, September 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
