It looks like the flame can die down on the rumors that pop star Katy Perry might be dating One Direction star Harry Styles.

On Saturday, Gossip Cop laid the story to rest by making it clear that there is nothing romantic going on between the singers despite reports saying that they were spotted having dinner together. A story from Liberty Voice mentioned that an eyewitness allegedly saw Perry and Styles at a restaurant in Malibu where they apparently were enjoying themselves. But it looks like the gossip can be moved elsewhere now that Gossip Cop cleared it up.

"There's no truth," a source told the site. "They just happened to be in the same place at the same time."

Perry's love life has been talked about a lot lately ever since her relationship with John Mayer ended. While there's no word yet if either of them are dating anyone else, there was a story from Hollywood Life saying that the "Daughters" star might be trying to pursue movie star Jennifer Lawrence even though she's been said to be dating Coldplay star Chris Martin.

"John has had a thing for Jennifer for quite some time now and he's still trying to romance her despite her involvement with Chris," a source told the site.

"John is determined to win Jennifer's heart," the source added. "They had a late dinner together at Cecconi's in West Hollywood on August 29."
