Tom Hardy may have secretly wed his longtime fiancée Charlotte Riley two months ago.

According to The Sun on Sunday, Hardy, 37, and Riley, 32, said "I do" at the Chateau de Roussan in the South of France on July 4 in front of a very small group of people.

"It was a beautiful, low-key day made even more special because they just had their closest friends and family around them," a source told the paper. "And they made certain to pick a stunning and private setting."

Hardy's 6-year-old son Louis - from his previous relationship with Rachael Speed - was also in attendance and played a big part in the ceremony.

The couple, who met on the set of Wuthering Heights in 2009 and became engaged a year later, didn't have an extravagant affair.

"There was nothing flash about the wedding, they always said they wanted it to be about the two of them and their family rather than any grand gesture," the source added.

This would be the second wedding for Hardy, who was married to Sarah Ward from 1999 to 2004, and the first for Riley.

Back in April, however, Hardy reportedly already referred to Riley as his wife, according to Us Weekly. During an interview with the magazine, he dished on the support he receives from his lady.

"Well my wife is an actor as well so she sort of gets it," he said. "Apart from that, I'm a pain in the a-- really. You know what I mean? Like any other boyfriend."
