On Saturday, Page Six reported that the singer has been turning to someone for help due to the hard time she might be having at this point. The site mentioned that she's been seeking advice from music video director Brett Ratner.

"They speak frequently," a source said.

Ratner had directed several of Carey's music video, including "Heartbreaker" and "We Belong Together."

This might lead to some theories on what the status is between Ratner and Carey, and if there's something more than just solace going on between the two. There's a chance that there might be a new relationship announcement from them, but as of now, it looks like they might just be friends.

As for Cannon, reports are saying that he's doing much better ever since the split. During his appearance at the charity event Get Lucky For Lupus LA at the Avalon, he apparently smiled when the alleged upcoming divorce was brought up. He also mentioned that he's doing okay right now.

"I feel great, thanks," Cannon said, as published by Mirror. "I'm healthy and happy."

These stories give the impression that both of the stars might be able to find a silver lining, but only time will tell on how they'll go on with their lives.
