Bow Wow called in to 106 & Park to let everyone know that his engagement to Erica Mena is real. Both he and his new fiancée have been making their rounds to talk about their new commitment to each other, though most fans are skeptical about their publicized union.

"It's far from a publicity stunt," Bow Wow or Shad Moss as her prefers, told the 106 audience. "I've never been the type of person to do anything for publicity. I don't need it. I'm on TV everyday."

After posting a picture of her ring on Saturday night, during the taping of the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, everyone and anyone expressed their opinion about their relationship. One fan commented on the post below, writing "Just feels like a setup for more ratings on the love and hip hop show to me."

When his 106 co-host Keshia Chante asked why he chose her after spending most of his career as a bachelor, he insisted that their bond has been strong since they met on the set of his video in 2009. "I think what a lot of people don't realize is me and Erica, we been knowing each other for years. If you pay attention, she's in my "Fresh Azimiz" video," said Moss.

He added, "She's the girl right in front of me. I been knowing her since then. And like I said, she was suppose to do [the movie] Lottery Ticket."

Mena, or Mrs. Moss, also told Be100! he proposed while they were hanging out on a random night at home and she was completely surprised. "I couldn't stop crying. When it happened, I didn't even see the ring and I was blown away. So when I saw the ring, it was another ten minutes of non-stop crying," she recalled.
