More bad news for fans hoping to see a Peraltiago romance keeps coming, as the newest spoilers for Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 2 keep suggesting that the two will definitely not be getting together.

Melissa Fumero Dishes On Relationship With Andy Samberg

In a Spoiler Chat update on E! September 16, it was confirmed that Amy Santiago's (Melissa Fumero) boyfriend Teddy (Kyle Bornheimer) is going to be back in the beginning of the season-and Amy is definitely still with him, making her off-limits to Jake (Andy Samberg) when he returns to the precinct after his undercover assignment ends.

"Jake's time away from the precinct working undercover for the FBI really matured him, and fans will be surprised to see how honest he is about his feelings for Amy in the season two premiere," the spoiler chat reads. "However, don't expect sparks to start flying between these two co-workers, since Amy is still with Teddy (even though Jake is clearly the much better choice for her!). But don't worry! There's still hope for something romantic down the road. We might just have to endure a friendship between them a little while longer."

Peralta & Santiago Not Getting Together In Season 2

Entertainment Weekly also confirmed the news that Bornheimer's character would be returning, but added that there was a good chance he'd be sticking around for a while as well.

"I don't want to crush your dreams, but I hear Kyle Bornheimer will reprise his role as Amy's detective boyfriend Teddy later this season. Make of that what you will," their spoiler from September 19 read.

Overall, it seems as if this romance certainly won't be happening during season 2.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 2 premieres Sunday, September 28 at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.
