Nashville is finally returning with new episodes that will embark upon new romances for the characters, including Will.

Popular Country Singer Guest Stars On 'Nashville' Season 3

On Wednesday, Backlot TV posted an interview with actor Chris Carmack (Will) who dished on how things will turn out for his character, which will consist of some serious struggles.

"He clearly has a lot to deal with and he's partly coming to terms with himself and starting to perhaps accept himself in a way that I think we all want to see Will accept himself, but in addition he's creating this complete web of lies and deceit around him involving his wife who he married under false pretenses [and] the reality show that's bearing down on him that is threatening to expose all of his lies," Carmack said.

Will There Be A 'Nashville' Season 4?

Will came out to his wife in the previous season, which is something that Carmack sees as mainly a good thing.

"This is partial speculation, but I think ultimately it will be good because Will was so deeply closeted, he was only going to out himself in extreme circumstances and it needed to happen for his sanity," the actor said. "It needed to happen for his own mental and emotional health."

When Carmack was asked if Derek Krantz (who played openly gay Brent McKinney) would be back, the actor said that he didn't really know, but his character will "have a romantic interest in season three."

Nashville Season 3 premieres on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
