Adrienne Maloof, reality star on the Bravo television hit "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," told RadarOnline.com that she is discussing filing for divorce from her plastic surgeon husband Paul Nassif, whom she married in 2002.

"I'm so sorry that this is happening, but my children are my life and sometimes we need to do what's best for them," Maloof told RadarOnline. "It's an unfortunate situation but I have to have my kids' best interest at heart."

The couple have three sons together and Maloof admitted to Radar on July 30 that it was because of her children that she ultimately decided to contemplate divorce. But what finally broke her will to stay in the marriage?

Sources told RadarOnline that taping for the latest season of "Housewives" has been strainious on their marriage. Viewers of the past seasons witnessed the bickering between the couple but their constant ability to brush it off instead of letting things escalate gave audiences hope that the marraige would last.

However, Maloof has gotten fed up with the drama and turmoil of all the filming.

"Adrienne was dragged through the dirt during filming of the upcoming season, and it really wore on her. Paul and Adrienne have always fought, it's how they were as a couple. However, at this point, they realize that they are just want very different things, and neither one of them is happy in the marriage," an insider, who spoke to RadarOnline exclusively, said.

Another source said that neither one is officially ready to file for divorce and are hoping that they can figure out a better way to deal with the situation.

"There is a lot of love between Paul and Adrienne. If they didn't love each other as much as they do, either one would just walk away without looking back,"  another source said.
