John Stamos took to Instagram to remember his mother Loretta Stamos, who passed away on Monday at the age of 75.

The veteran actor, 51, shared an adorable old photo of himself with his mother and praised her with a meaningful caption.

“The love of my life passed away yesterday in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her. A few weeks ago, I asked my mom if she remembered an inconsequential event - she simply replied, ‘I only remember the love.’ #Brokenhearted #Iloveyouthemost,” Stamos wrote.

Stamos also asked people to donate to his mother’s charity – The Vanguard Cancer Foundation. The not-for-profit works with volunteers who fight for better care of cancer patients.

“Cancer patients are not statistics and they do not respond according to predetermined textbook expectations. Rather, each patient is different and must be given the opportunity to identify those therapies that most effectively kill their cancer,” the foundation’s website reads.

Last August, Stamos spent his 50th birthday with his mother and shared a photo of the two on Twitter. In the photo, Loretta is seen hugging her son. “Last few hours being 49 w/ the woman that birthed me. she said conception (in vegas) was so much fun- i said TMI,” he wrote.
