ABC's The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell make headlines after getting into a screaming match for their entire studio audience to see.

'The View' Season 18 Premiere: Rosie O'Donnell Returns, New Hosts Make Debut

According to The Daily Mail, the showdown happened Thursday when moderator Goldberg followed producers' cue to cut to a commercial break. O'Donnell reportedly wanted to keep speaking on a Hot Topic subject on spanking that she already mentioned she cared deeply about before the show even began.

While Goldberg tried to go to a commercial break, O'Donnell, who is said to not wear an ISD monitor in her ear so she cannot hear directions from the control room, kept speaking.

A source told the site that O'Donnell let Goldberg have it once the break began.

"Rosie took the handheld microphone that they use to engage the audience. Instead of talking to the crowd, Rosie spoke directly to Whoopi in the mic that she 'hurt my feelings,' and that she was 'very upset by it' and 'didn't appreciate' what Whoopi had done.'"

She continued her rant against Goldberg when the Sister Act actress let her know, "This was not the time Rosie."

Still, O'Donnell continued until Goldberg finally said, "F--- it, I told you leave it alone and you just don't want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie, I will. I'm really sick of your s---!" the source reported.

That seemed to get O'Donnell's attention and the entire studio got quiet.

Newcomer Rosie Perez then jumped in attempt to make light of the situation and said, "Twitter is going to be off the hook now. They're about to get it."

Producers then came to lead the ladies into the next segment. They were all able to play it off by the time the show returned.

Their altercation might not be much of a surprise considering O'Donnell was the moderator during her first stint on The View. When she returned, she wanted her spot back from Goldberg. As for Goldberg, she reportedly wants to get her $10 millon payout, cancel her contract and leave the show.
