Keith Urban released the video for his single Somewhere in My Car on Thursday, turning heads with the video's racy content.

The darkly lit and emotional video included slow motion rain drops, broken glass, and of course an intense make-out session inside, and occasionally on top of, a parked car. Blended with black and white clips, Urban didn't star in the make-out session portion of the video, but was seen singing and playing the guitar as the characters kissed in the rain.

As for inspiration, the country star had a thing or two to say about the experience which led to the video in a recent interview with People.

"It's usually spontaneous, raw, intense," he said. "And even the sense of being suddenly interrupted by someone adds to the adrenaline rush."

In terms of logistics, the 46-year-old singer certainly had things all figured out. "Ideally, it's better if you've pulled off the side of the road," he noted. "But then again…"

His seemingly familiar knowledge of the subject prompted questions about his most recent experience getting cozy in a car, but for that Urban deferred all discussion to his wife, actress Nicole Kidman (Stoker, Grace of Monaco).

"I think the last one was pretty great," admitted Urban, "but you'd have to ask my wife!"

Somewhere in my Car is off Urban's album Fuse, which was released this year.
