While Ellie Miller (Anna Gunn) and Carver (David Tennant) will get off to a bad start after he swipes her promotion, Carver won't go out of his way to smooth things over with his fellow officer.

"He is a good policeman, but he doesn't suffer fools gladly, and unfortunately he feels rather surrounded by fools as he moves to Gracepoint," Tennant said. "He feels often exasperated by the people he's ended up working with, in particular Ellie Miller, of course, and they have a rather abrasive relationship with each other."

Find out how Carver and Miller will pair up to solve the murder of Danny Solano when Gracepoint premieres on Fox at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday.
