Bethenny Frankel is going back to her roots - her reality television roots, that is. Sources close to the former talk show host say that she is rejoining the cast of The Real Housewives of New York for Season 7.

Is Bethenny Frankel's Legal Battle With Jason Hoppy Causing Her Millions?

According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, producers of the show are hoping to boost ratings with Frankel's return, after ratings for Season 6 dropped about one million viewers. The SkinnyGirl mogul quit the show back in 2010, after marrying her now ex-husband Jason Hoppy and giving birth to the couple's only child, Bryn.

A source tells the magazine, "Bringing her back is a last-ditch effort."

Is Bethenny Frankel Looking To Rejoin The Cast Of 'The Real Housewives Of New York?

When asked by Billy Bush on Access Hollywood last week on whether or not she would return, Frankel said on Wednesday, "I don't know, I talk to Andy but we're talking about another project right now. We're working on something, but it's a little bit of a secret. Everyone's asked me, but I would have to be crazy. And I am crazy."

After being shown a clip of her in a heated argument with former costar Kelly Bensimon, Frankel explained, "That was crazy island. The Kelly I'm up here you're done here moment."

Despite the on screen drama, the Skinnygirl mogul insisted that she's on good terms with both her former co-stars Bensimon and newly separated Ramona Singer.

Frankel said, "But it's clean now. I see her, it's good. When you're in the moment, everything seems so important but when you step away from it, it's not important at all. I see her, I say hi to her, we're friendly."

She added, "With Ramona, I call her up sometimes and we discuss what's going on in her life and a little bit of mine. She came on my show, so it's all good. When you're on a show like the Housewives, you're in a bubble and the drama seems so important and you talk about things you would never normally talk about."
