Elizabeth Berkley Welcomes Son With Ralph Lauren Nephew Greg Lauren

Elizabeth Berkely gave birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles on Friday.

The "Saved By The Bell" star delivered Sky Cole Lauren, who weighed in at 8 pounds. Her husband is artist/actor Greg Lauren, nephew of fashion designer Ralph Lauren.

The actress delivered the baby the day before her 40th birthday.

Berkley thanked her followers on Twitter for their thoughtful sentiments, reported Yahoo!.

"Thank u for your beautiful wishes and blessings," Berkley wrote. "We r grateful!"

"We are over the moon and grateful to start this amazing adventure together as a family", the couple told PEOPLE  during her pregnancy.

Another "Saved by the Bell" star had a reason to celebrate . Mark-Paul Gosselaar who played Zack Morris on the teen show, married Catriona McGinn on Saturday at the Sunstone winery in Santa Ynez, California, according to PEOPLE.

Berkley is a former model who is also famous for playing the lead in the cult film "Showgirls." She also wrote a book for teens called "Ask Elizabeth."

Greg Lauren is an artist and actor. He had a recurring role on the CBS soap drama "The Young and the Restless" and appeared in "The Wedding Planner" with Jennifer Lopez and "Boogie Nights" with Mark Wahlberg. His art has been purchased by many celebrities including Demi Moore and Ben Stiller.
