Awkward airs the second half of its fourth season this fall and as senior year comes to an end, Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and her friends are in for college drama, betrayal, pole dancing and an intense run in with the cops.

MTV Stars Brett Davern & Beau Mirchoff In New Racecar Flick

On Monday MTV released a new fall trailer for the series, starting off with Jenna and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) agreeing to run interference for one another at a New Years Eve party to ensure that neither one of them hooks up with someone.

Of course this pact falls to pieces fast and Jenna ends up with a guy BFF Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) really likes, causing a rift between the two.

Still not college bound, Jenna will be forced to face the fact that she still hasn't gotten into school yet and, vulnerable, she turns to Matty for comfort. Matty, in turn, will be looking to Jenna when he finally gets the letter revealing his birth parents, claiming that he doesn't want to open it alone. So are the two getting back together? Will they finally make it as a couple?

Not quite.

After Tamara uncovers a book rating girls' bodies at Palos Hills, Jenna discovers that an angry Matty had given her a low score. "I always had expectations of Matty," she claims, "Most were never met."

Add some senior year mischief, a pair of cops drawing their guns, Jenna falling off a party bus pole and therein lies the recipe for Season 4.

Awkward continues on MTV to continue its fourth season Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
