As Cary's (Matt Czuchry) still behind bars, the recently released preview for the upcoming episode of season 6 of The Good Wife, hints at rising tempers and an uncertain, possibly dismal, future for him.

Alicia Won't Need To Quit Florrick-Agos To Run For State's Attorney

The promo for the next episode focusses on Cary's bid for freedom from jail, and the atmosphere is intense as Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and the team prepare to defend him as people like, Alicia's arch enemy, State's Attorney James Castro (Michael Cervais) is out to get Cary.

In one bit in the preview he threatens Alicia, when she boldy asks him if there is something he wants to say to her. Castro rebuffs by saying that he would, only once he ensured that Cary was locked away for a very long time.

Governor Florrick's Flirtatious Intern To Return In Season 6

"After I put your partner away for 15 years, then I'll have something to say," he sternly states.

Cary's pretrial officer, Joy Gubrick, is seen talking to him and cautioning him: "You can't continue to live life the way you used to, or you might end up behind bars again."

Gubrick is responsible for deciding whether Cary should stay locked up or not and in the last episode she was consulting Cary's colleagues to help make a decision.

Episode 3, entitled Dear God, of The Good Wife will air on October 5 on CBS.
