After James Bond performed a live skydive with Queen Elizabeth II at the Olympics Opening Ceremony in London, Sony Pictures Entertainment has released an extended trailer for "Skyfall."

Over 40 million viewers watched the pre-recorded clip and two live stuntman dressed as Bond and the Queen parachute into the stadium to promote the movie.

Daniel Craig reprises his role as 007 in the 23rd James Bond film as the hit franchise nears its 50th anniversary.

The trailer features a variety of exciting sequences: action, romance, explosions and James Bond faking his own death.

The clip also reveals actor Javier Bardem playing the blond villain Raoul Silva. Bond is also in a steamy shower scene with Harris.

The shorter clip previewed at the Olympic Opening Ceremony featuring the Queen of England marks the film debut for the second-longest running monarch, according to Reuters.

Reports have indicated that her participation in "Skyfall" has increased her popularity which decreased after the death of Princess Diana in 1997. The Queen was reportedly thrilled to be a part of it, according to her publicist.

"The Queen was delighted to be asked, and be involved in something so exceptional," a Buckingham Palace publicist told Reuters. "Very pleased to take part and it was our Olympics and the Queen was delighted to be part of it."

The pre-recorded clip shows Craig's Bond meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace. After the pair took off in a helicopter, the Queen jumped out of the helicopter first and Bond follows. The pair took a skydive with Union flag draped parachutes towards the Olympic Park and then the real Queen appears before the roaring crowd of 60,000 people in the stadium.

The character of James Bond was created in 1953 and featured in twelve novels by writer Ian Fleming.

"Skyfall" is Craig's third film portraying the secret agent and will be released in U.S. theaters on Nov. 9.
