In Gotham, D'Agosto will be playing Harvey Dent as a "bright, charming, idealistic Assistant District Attorney" who is trying to rid Gotham City of its rampant crime.

He will reportedly be recurring throughout the first season with the potential to be a series regular in Season 2.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, the series has cast David Zayas (Dexter) as Salvatore Maroni, the mob boss who ultimately throws acid on Harvey Dent, disfiguring his face forever. It remains to be seen if the disfigurement will actually go down in the course of the series.

At this point in the series, there have been many soon-to-be villains popping up throughout Gotham City. Among them are Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor), who becomes The Penguin, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), who becomes Catwoman and Edward Nygma, who becomes The Riddler.
