A somber Josh Henderson released his official statement via YouTube to address the cancellation of TNT’s Dallas and expressed a great deal of gratitude to the loyal fans.

“I haven’t put out a tweet or anything saying anything about the show yet because I felt like you guys deserve more than that, you do. You guys are the best fans ever,” he said. “I didn’t expect the show to be done. I was excited to continue on this story and to continue bringing you John Ross and working with this great cast and doing a show that I’m very proud of.”

Henderson, 32, who also revealed that there’s a possibility for the show to move to another network, thanked the viewers who loved the show.

“I feel absolutely blessed to have been able to be a part of Dallas, to get to play John Ross for you guys. You guys haven’t stopped showing the love since we’ve started and it means a lot. It really does. So I want to thank y’all for what you give me,” he said. “This is it, life keeps moving, got to keep the head up and we keep going. It’s been a good fun run. It’s been awesome.”

TNT announced the show’s cancellation after three seasons on Friday. The reboot of the original Dallas, which aired from 1978 to 1991, kicked off in 2012 with 7 million viewers. However, that number began to decrease - the season 3 finale on Sept. 22 only brought in 1.7 million viewers. It’s assumed that the switch from summer to fall for season 2 caused the decrease, despite the return to the summer for the last season.
