Raven Symoné was one of the guests featured on Oprah's Where Are They Now? on Oct. 5. Since the program aired, she's come under fire for various statements in which she refuted the labels of gay and black. Twitter, specifically "Black Twitter" took offense to her statements mostly because she was introduced to the world on television with the most praised black family in network history-- The Cosby Show.

Still, the interview touched base on more than who she is dating and what she wants to be called. So, Enstars gathered a list to spell it out for you with the clips that everyone is talking about.

Raven to Appear on Oprah's 'Where are They Now?'

1. Her “Yay government” tweet was her way of kind of coming out. Well, sort of. She told Oprah that she was super excited to be living in a country where the government actailly makes progress, which ultimately inspired her tweet.

2. She is in a committed relationship with a woman and she described it as “amazing” and “happy.” And yes, it’s the same woman fans have seen her with on blogs in the past two years.

3. “I am proud to be who I am and what I am.”—Raven Symoné

4. She knew that she had an interest women as young as 12 years old.

5. She does not like labels and does not want to be labeled “gay.” She added that she is “tired of being labeled,” which led to all types of controversy in her next statement.

6. She took the “no labels” idea super a step further when she revealed, “I’m not an African-American, I’m an American.” Many fans were not happy with what she said and even Oprah responded, “Oh, girl don’t set Twitter on fire.” Unfortunately, that’s exactly what she did.

.

7. She went on to explain that she does not consider herself to be "African American" because she has no idea if her roots trace back to Africa.  To make things worse, she went on to describe her grain of hair as "nice" and "interesting." Since many of her fans have watched her grow up on The Cosby Show, which featured a black family, they can't understand why she would seemingly denounce a whole entire culture.

8. She's in college and takes an array of classes to expand her creativity, including sculpting, printmaking and figure drawing.

9. Though it is not something she talks about often, she does pat herself on the back for not having a criminal record.  For a child star that is about to turn thirty, that is quite a feat. Side note: Does anyone else have a hard time accepting that she is 28?

10. She avoided drugs, but admitted she has an addiction to new adventures.  She also likes being alone.

11. At 28, Oprah felt that there was nothing else for her to accomplish.  Oddly, Symoné feels the same way which is why she has decided to try a new lane in school.

12. The actress lost weight to please Hollywood after she proclaimed that she was proud to be thick in the past.  She was sick of hearing what television executives had to say.

13. She credits her parents and common sense for staying out of the tabloids.  Her parents always taught her to keep her private life, private.

14. Unlike the Miley Cyrus's and Lindsay Lohan's of the world, she finds extra press "unnecessary."  When she is dealing with a major issue, she knows that there is more than one restaurant in Hollywood, and more than one place that will not have paparazzi.

15. Even when she was working onscreen in her busy tween days, her parents still made it a point to give her chores around the house.  This, combined with her perspective of acting as "just a job" allowed her to stay humble.

16. In her spare time, she likes to practice her "Janet Jackson sex pot" moves.  She's not quite ready to show them to the public, but she is open to playing more roles outside of the "sweet" characters she's known for.
