When a fan asked Vanderpump on Twitter why she didn't have any official comment, Vanderpump said on Tuesday that she had called her personally and "not everything needs to be on display."

Before Giudice was sentenced, Vanderpump opened up to E! News about supporting her. "I have called her because I can only imagine, it has to be a nightmare to be in the midst of that," Vanderpump said at the 2014 Hero Dog Awards. "She's always been a lovely woman. I know that from first-hand experience."

Vanderpump said she just called to say hello. "Hey, I'm thinking of you, and I know things will work out in the end," Vanderpump said about what she talked about to her. "I just don't know how, or what, you're going to have to get through to go there. Know that no negativity, I support you."

Giudice opened up on Watch What Happens: Live! Monday night along with husband Joe after the two were sentenced to jail in their fraud case.

According to Us Weekly, Giudice didn't fully understand what she was getting herself into. "I didn't fully understand it," she said. "I thought my lawyer was going to fight for me. I mean that's what lawyers do, I don't know. That's why you hire a attorney. You put it in their hands. I mean, whatever they wanted from me - believe me - I followed their direction. Whatever they wanted, I gave them. I'm not trying to hide anything."
