With Sony looking to possibly make a change in who will play Spider-Man in their next few movies, it seems like the time that Andrew Garfield held on to the role is coming to an end. But could a star of another young adult series take over his place as Peter Parker? His name is probably close to the top of the list.

Andrew Garfield Done As Spider-Man? It Looks Like Sony Is Headed In That Direction

With Garfield potentially being forced out in order to soft reboot the role in the Sinister Six and allow for a cameo in future Avengers movies, one name that would make sense due to his past with studio franchises and his rising stardom is Logan Lerman.

Lerman, best known for playing Percy Jackson in the young adult adaptation, is no stranger to big budget franchises after the actor led both movies to decent return. With the power of Spider-Man behind him, he could keep the movies bringing in the big bucks and add another young, promising actor to the role.

Spider-Man Could Be Joining The Avengers Very Soon

After doing Percy Jackson, Lerman has mixed big budget work with more art-driven pictures such as The Perks of Being A Wallflower, which gained him acclaim for his performance, Noah with Darren Aronofsky, and most recently Fury, where he stars alongside Brad Pitt.

He has the young look that would work as a Peter Parker, who is most likely on his way out of college and is decently established as Spider-Man right now, which is the direction Sony is looking in the hero for Sinister Six. He also has a charisma that would allow him to fit into the role and use his humor to bring the character to life, much like Garfield did.

Lerman will next be seen in Fury, which comes out later this month.
