Twilight star Kristen Stewart has spoken out on her latest film Clouds of Sils Maria and how it shares a connection with a scandal that happened to her in real life.

Robert Pattinson Has An 'Optimistic View Of The World' Now?

On Thursday, Huffington Post published the news from Stewart who was allegedly having an affair with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman, which the actress starred in. As it turns out, the movie Clouds has a scene where Stewart's character named Valentine asks actress Maria (Juliette Binoche) if she's had an affair with a director when she was younger. There are also supposed to be moments when Valentine helps Maria get away from the paparazzi, something else that Stewart can connect to as a media target.

"I had to reign in the glee on my face," the actress revealed during a press conference on Wednesday. "I had to make sure my cheeks weren't turning red and I wasn't in hysterical laughter when I said some of the lines that I said in the other movie."

Robert Pattinson Gets 'So Much Anxiety'

Stewart went on about how it's rather ironic on what she's had to deal with in real life as opposed versus what her character does in the film.

"I think that my position -- just the life that I'm living and my experience -- sort of gave [the film] this irony," she said. "[It] just made it a bit more relevant and interesting."

Stewart's ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson was also a big media target especially when the situation with Sanders took place.
