One Direction is one of the biggest bands in the world, but do their members ever regret joining at such a young age? Niall Horan opened up about this topic in 1D's book Who We Are.

Horan loves One Direction, but does say that he wishes he could have finished school. "My childhood was cut short by the X Factor, because One Direction took off and I never really got the chance to finish school or do my exams or anything like that," he said (via J-14).

One Direction was famously formed on the British show X-Factor by Simon Cowell. Horan said that when he auditioned for the reality show, he didn't realize how much his whole life would change.

"After the first audition, I packed up everything in my life in a bag," Horan said. "What I didn't realize at the time was that, when I was stuffing clothes into the little suitcase, that was pretty much me leaving home for good."

Despite this, Horan and the One Direction boys have been majorly successful and are getting ready to release their newest album Four in November.

In a statement on the band's website, 1D wrote, "We're so excited to announce our fourth album, FOUR! We've worked incredibly hard writing and recording it whilst we've been on the road and we couldn't have done it without your support."
