Pop star Katy Perry has been rumored to be dating DJ Diplo who might possess certain qualities that some of the singer's ex-boyfriends didn't have.

On Friday, E! News reported that Perry might be the one making all the rules in her alleged new romance and Diplo might not be complaining.

"She's keeping this one undercover because she's learned her lesson," a source told the site. "She's in control, but he likes that."

The site then pointed out that Diplo could have something in him that makes him different from previous relationships that the pop star has been involved in.

"He knows she's in charge and respects her," the source spilled. "She keeps tabs on him...but she trusts him and that's the most important thing to her."

As it turns out, it was said that Perry's family and her friends have even taken a liking to Diplo.

"You can see how comfortable she feels with him already because the whole crew hangs with him already and they approve," the insider said. "It's important that everyone gets along with him because makes her crazy life easier."

Perry was romantically linked to musician John Mayer, but that didn't work out, giving some insight if Diplo has what it takes to keep Perry. This could be possible, but it hasn't even been officially announced if the singer and the DJ are an exclusive item or not.
