Coach Jose Mourinho, who once was Real Madrid's coach said that Ronaldo is the most influential player for Portugal.

"He is like [Zinedine] Zidane for the French," he said to a French TV channel (via ESPN). "He is an incredible player, a goal machine. I don't need to say what everyone already knows."

Reports went viral this fall that Ronaldo would be traded from Real Madrid to Manchester United, but the soccer player tried to shut those down.

According to SportingNews.com, Ronaldo called Manchester United "family," but has no intention of leaving his current club. The website reported that Real Madrid "has no intention of allowing him to leave the Santiago Bernabeu next summer and the forward is also reluctant to depart before breaking the club's all-time goal-scoring record."

Ronaldo also reportedly said, "I'm touched that they still think so fondly of me, but I'm really happy here. I've always said I have a family in Manchester, but right now I'm happy here and I want to stay." Ronaldo's contract with Real Madrid goes until 2018.

Ronaldo had also said that is "happy" with Real Madrid.

"It's all speculation, speaking about my future ... My future is Madrid. I'm happy," Ronaldo told reporters before according to Goal.com. "The season is going well and I'm not talking about my future, it doesn't make sense."
