The next Expendables movie should be packing more punches after the stars said that they wanted it to be more rated-R than the last one. But could that mean one up-and-coming star who has started to build an action career could be coming along also?

Dan Stevens, best known for his work on Downton Abbey, has started to establish an action career for himself with great turns in more character driven pieces like The Guest and A Walk Among The Tombstones. With his resume getting boosted, he could be the next young actor to join the Expendables.

So far the crew has usually included a few younger actors who Stallone probably sees as the next big thing in action with names like Liam Hemsworth and Kellan Lutz joining to help the fight previously. With Stevens garnering a lot of praise for his work in action movies, it could lead to him getting a role in The Expendables 4, which could be the start of even more action films for him.

Stevens is still getting in the movie game as after these two releases he next shows up in the next Night at the Museum movie, but with not much on the slate following that film, he could be available to join the crew as they go for a more rated-R effort in the fourth installment.

The Expendables 4 isn't confirmed yet, but Stallone has made plans to do it after he goes back to Rambo one last time. Other rumored names are Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan, and Keanu Reeves.
