Katy Perry and John Mayer Dating Rumors Fueled After Date Night at Chateau Marmont Hotel [PHOTOS]

Katy Perry and John Mayer were photographed Wednesday on a night date in Los Angeles, fueling rumors that they are a couple.

Perry, 27 and Mayer,34, were photographed leaving the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood, according to photographs released by several magazines.

A witness told Us Weekly that they had dinner at the Chateau. They were "holding hands across the table," "sneaking kisses and laughing."

The photographs show Perry and Mayer inside a car apparently chatting. She is wearing a sexy white dress and Mayer was wearing a green jacket.

The images fueled rumors that the pair are dating which started in July 19th when they were spotted at Soho House partying. A source said they were "affectionate, holding hands and cuddling," according to Us Weekly.

Later they had a pizza date at her house the following night, according to Hollywood Life.

The couple has been romantically linked in the past. In 2010, E! News reported that Perry and Mayer exchanged "flirty tweets and texts" before meeting for the first time at Gold Bar in New York.

"John thought she was so hot and fun and was into her," the insider recounted to the magazine."They were so flirty and all over each other that night at the bar, they really liked each other. Their personalities just clicked and they were flirting and dancing and it was on."

But soon after, Perry started dating British comedian Russell Brand and married him. 

Perry and Brand finalized their divorce last month.

Mayer has been romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Minka Kelly and Taylor Swift.
