Rupert Sanders' wife has banned the film director from working with Kristen Stewart on the "Snow White & the Huntsman" sequel.

Liberty Ross told her husband that the only way their marriage could work is if he gave up working with the 22-year-old. Sanders is trying to win back the affections of the British model after photos surfaced of him cheating with Stewart.

"Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can't direct the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman," a source told Radar Online.

"Rupert is obviously disappointed because 'Snow White and the Huntsman' was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews. But he knows his actions were inexcusable, and he's going to have to bite the bullet and listen to his wife on this one."

According to Digital Spy, Universal Pictures confirmed that Sanders was set to direct the sequel. The report also revealed that the agreement was verbal, it wasn't set in his contract for the first film. Stewart's contract confirms she will play Snow White again.

"Kristen, as the film's lead, will get preference over Rupert and Universal will just find another director," the source told Radar Online.

Sanders was recently spotted wearing his wedding ring, which may be a sign that he and his wife are trying to save their marriage.

Radar Online reported that Stewart and her boyfriend Robert Pattinson started speaking again while he is hiding out at actress Reese Witherspoon's vacation home in Ojai, California.

At first Rob ignored her "tearful texts" and "multiple phone calls" but they have resumed communication. The pair was rumored to having a custody battle over their dog Bear and moved out of their three-bedroom home in Los Angeles.

Summit Entertainment, the production company behind the "Twilight" series, have announced that promotion of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is moving "full steam ahead."
