Ryan Gosling is often one of the most fawned over actors in Hollywood, but since July 2014, he has only become even more swooned over-because he's become a father.

James Marsden Hints He Favors A Ryan Gosling/Rachel McAdams Reunion

News broke in July that the actor and his Place Beyond the Pines co-star and on/off girlfriend of three years, Eva Mendes, were expecting their first child together-and things haven't been the same for his fans since. Initially reacting with rage and upset over the news that the 33-year-old actor was taking such a huge step in a relationship they didn't entirely approve of, they have since become obsessed with learning anything they can about his now one-month-old daughter-a seemingly impossible feat considering the couple's extreme sense of privacy. With that in mind, Enstars took a look back at the entire story as it unfolded and compiled all of the information that has so far been revealed about the #GoslingBaby.

Eva Mendes Is Confirmed As Pregnant-And Twitter Freaks Out.

Fans were floored when news first broke in early July that Eva Mendes was in fact pregnant with Ryan Gosling's child. After months of endless speculation that they had split--which were only fueled more heavily when the actress did not attend the Cannes Film Festival in May with her boyfriend-hearing that the two were not only still together, but taking a huge new step in their relationship caused a major freak out.

In addition to fans freaking out, reports surfaced that Gosling's former girlfriend and The Notebook co-star, Rachel McAdams, wasn't taking the news well either. Several reports claimed she was "devastated" by the news, because she and Gosling had called it quits on their romance in 2008 because she wasn't ready to have children yet-and hearing he was now having a baby with his new girlfriend was a huge blow.

Ryan Gosling Reportedly Dotes On Pregnant Mendes & Makes His Fans Fall More In Love With Him

Even though his fans were upset and exceedingly jealous of Mendes, they were happy to learn the actor was reportedly stepping into his new role as a father-to-be in the best way possible-by doting on his pregnant girlfriend. Several reports stated that he was doing everything for the couple-including shopping and cooking-- and letting Mendes just rest.

The Baby Name Game

Of course, as the world awaited the birth of the couple's baby, they also craved information about what they were having-a boy or a girl. And more importantly, they wanted to know what name the two would pick.

Reports claimed the couple wanted to name their child after their families. So if it was a boy, they were going to go with Thomas-Gosling's own middle name. And if it was a girl, they were reportedly considering either Donna (after Gosling's mother) or Coral (after Mendes' mother's maiden name of Corrales).

The Couple Welcomes Their Baby Girl To The World---And Manages To Successfully Keep Her Birth A Secret For Four Days

Finally, two months after news of Mendes' pregnancy broke, their baby girl was born on September 12-but in true secretive fashion, the ultra-private couple managed to keep the news of their baby's birth out of the press for a few days. News of her arrival finally broke on September 16. And the world began waiting for any and all details they could get on the baby's name.

Finally, Their Daughter's Name Was Revealed...

It isn't clear whether the couple tried to intentionally mislead the press about the name of their baby, but several false reports came through with hints of what she could be named. First, the report stating the couple had nicknamed her "Preciosa" circulated, and while it may have been true, it gave no exact details on what their daughter was really named.

Then, Mendes' brother revealed that the couple had given their daughter a family name, reigniting rumors she was named Coral.

Finally, after almost one month of speculation, TMZ managed to get their hands on the birth certificate-revealing that the couple had officially named their daughter Esmeralda Amada-and indeed, the baby was given a Mendes family name, after Eva's grandmother. The actress also played a character named Amada in the 2007 movie We Own The Night.

Now, The Question On Everyone's Minds....

...is whether or not the couple will get married now that they're parents. That one is still unknown.
