Austin Mahone was named one of Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens in 2014, but the Mmm Yeah singer is actually in the same company as his tour opener Shawn Mendes.

Mahone, 18, had Mendes, 16, on his tour this summer in the United States along with The Vamps and Fifth Harmony.

According to the list, which also includes Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Chloe Grace Moretz and Bethany Mota, Mendes has millions of Vine followers, which got him a record deal with Island Records and his first single Life of the Party.

He was the youngest artist to debut in the top 25 of the Billboard 100. His EP, The Shawn Mendes EP, according to the magazine, reached the no. 1 spot on iTunes, 37 minutes after its midnight release.

Mahone made the list by having 7 million Twitter followers (a.k.a. Mahomies). He was the first artist to be no. 1 on Billboard's new list the Trending 140 and his EP, The Secret debuted at no. 5 on the Billboard 200 in May. He's set to release his next album in early 2015.

"We have awesome songs lined up and a lot of good people I'm working with," he added to the Daily Tribune Music. "I'm probably going to stick with pop for the most part," Mahone said, "but I'll try some different styles, too. I'm gonna jump out to a little more EDM, maybe some R&B, different stuff like that."

Mahone is currently on his South American tour.
