TMZ reports that at 3:45 PST, Misty's uncle confirmed that the body was hers.  In the hours leading up to the discovery, members of her family and close friends were reportedly involved in a search of the ravine in which police believed they saw a body that looked similar to her anatomy.  They immediately contacted the authorities when they could not get to the body because of the depth of the area.

Hours later, they confirmed that the body was hers, making her father's worst nightmare come true.  As Enstars reported, her father Charles Upham revealed his own frustrations of the search for his missing daughter in a lengthy Facebook post.

"I do not fear she committed suicide. I feel that she has been hurt by accident or someone has put her in harms way," he wrote.  He sensed something was extremely wrong as this was "the first time in 32 years we have lost contact with her," raising "a serious red flag."

In the post, he also mentioned his daughters' lifelong suffering with mental illness.  For now, there has been no word as to what caused her death but police are still working on their investigation.
