It's no secret that country singer Carrie Underwood adores animals, but her husband's interest in hunting could divide the couple when it comes to raising their children.

Mike Fisher, Underwood's husband who also plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, thanked Under Armor Hunt on Twitter last month for sending out some new gear.

This is likely tied to Fisher's most recent Twitter profile picture, which shows the NHL player pointing a large gun into the sky.

Underwood, on the other hand, has always had a soft spot for animals. Over the summer she insisted her husband stop the car so she could run out into the road to save an injured bird.

During a 2010 interview with CBS (featured below), the singer voiced her support for the Pedigree Adoption Drive and discussed how she used to bring injured animals home as a child in an attempt to save them. "I have always been an animal lover…" she declared. "They need help."

"He goes everywhere with me," she said at the time of her dog Ace, who still goes out on tour with her today. "I couldn't imagine my life without him."

Underwood and Fisher announced that they were expecting their first child on Sept. 1, though they intend to keep the due date private for the time being.
