It took a long time but Deadpool is finally heading to the big screen with his own feature that will hopefully capture the fun and carnage that ensues with this anti-hero. But is another X-Men character going to cameo and fight with Deadpool? It is possible with their comic book history.

'X-Men' Writer Says Hugh Jackman's Future Is 'Very Tricky' Moving Forward

One character that has regular clashes (literally) with Deadpool is Wolverine, who of course is played by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men series. Jackman is no stranger to cameos in the series as he appeared for a brief scene in X-Men: First Class even though he didn't star.

In the comics, the two band together to fight foes and clash over their own ideals and tendencies with Wolverine being more hard-nosed about his choices and Deadpool making everything a joke, which as you can guess, doesn't always settle with the Wolverine.

Deadpool Could Be Part Of The X-Men Cinematic Universe Moving Forward

Jackman is a fan favorite in the X-Men movies and could possibly cameo in the Deadpool movie to help ease Fox's minds into allowing Tim Miller and company to make it. Maybe including a short fight sequence and a conversation that could have fans pumped up would make for great entertainment and also connect the movie to the rest of the X-Men universe.

As of now, Miller is set to direct with star Ryan Reynolds returning from X-Men Origins: Wolverine to play the role. While Jackman and Reynolds were together in that movie, it did allow for some comedy and showed that a more accurate portrayal of both characters would be even better entertainment.

Deadpool is set to open in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
