The Oscar winning actress became a reported victim of a nude photo scandal last month that leaked to a number of other female celebrities who allegedly had salacious images of them go viral. Lawrence eventually spoke up on the incident in an interview with Vanity Fair where she talked about how this is a serious situation that no one should be a part of.

But on Friday, The Hollywood Gossip posted something else that Lawrence apparently said during her interview that might come off as insulting.

"At least I'm not a hermaphrodite," the actress told the magazine. "I could have been outed- Jennifer Lawrence, hermaphrodite."

The site mentioned that Lawrence probably meant this as a joke, it reportedly caused fans to think of this as transphobic. It seems like some people thought that the idea of being outed as a hermaphrodite would have been a much worse situation to happen.

The interview with the magazine was mainly about how Lawrence believes that she still has a right to privacy even if she is a celebrity.

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this," she explained. "It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world."
